Production Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Machine Operations & Maintenance:

o Oversee the production site’s machinery, including shredders, hammer mills, and pellet
machines.
o Utilize basic mechanical and electrical knowledge to manage preventive and
breakdown maintenance.
o Develop and lead a maintenance team to ensure machines are operating efficiently.

• Production Management:

o Supervise production supervisors across eight sites to achieve daily production targets
while utilizing full capacity.
o Draw up production schedules, allocate resources effectively, and manage budgets for
ongoing projects.
o Continuously monitor manufacturing processes to ensure quality, efficiency, and safety
compliance.

• Quality Control & Problem Resolution:

o Diagnose and troubleshoot issues in the production line, providing recommendations
and actionable solutions.
o Conduct regular training sessions for production supervisors and maintenance teams to
address recurring issues and improve overall performance.

• Safety & Environmental Compliance:

o Establish and enforce safety procedures and protocols to ensure the well-being of
workers and the environment.
o Identify and address unsafe practices and ensure the production process minimizes the
carbon footprint.

•  Documentation & Reporting:

o Maintain accurate records of production schedules, maintenance activities, and quality
checks.
o Prepare detailed reports on production efficiency, safety incidents, and maintenance
outcomes for review by management.

Qualifications & Skills:

•  Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related
  field.

• Experience

o Minimum 3-5 years of experience in production and maintenance roles in a
manufacturing environment.
o Prior experience in managing teams and achieving production targets is highly
desirable

•  Technical Skills:

o Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
o Familiarity with heavy-duty machinery and industrial safety standards.

• Soft Skills:

o Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
o Problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to challenges.
o Strong communication skills to train staff and coordinate with various teams.

Work Environment:

• Hands-on supervision at production sites with exposure to manufacturing equipment and
  materials.
